May 18 2008 YSA Rideout Huddersfield to Cleckheaton .A pretty sunny day saw Selby MT meet up with Kippax, Stu and Mick at the Gaping Goose at Garforth. We had the choice of a fairly straight blast down the M1/M62 or an hour long trek through the mills, speed cameras, speed bumps, traffic lights and dozy pedestrians of Dewsbury, Ravensthorpe, Mirfield. We took the M62. The ride out was some 11 miles and was very enjoyable. The fun and games came at the bowling club, situated at the top of a very steep hill with a 1 scooter wide access gate! Cue overheating clutches as 500 scooters waited their turn to pull in. Once inside the venue was excellent with a cheap £1 bottle bar so no one had to queue for drinks.
