Selby Fun Day
The weather was okay and up to 30 members
of the club gathered for a few drinks at the Abbey Vaults before
strolling a short distance to watch some of the performances from
several bands that were playing on Portholme Road Football field.
We started drinking at 1.00pm, so by the
time the last band had finished at about 8.30pm, a lot of us were the
worst for wear.
Highlight of the performances were the Ska
band Catch it Kebabs, the Jam tribute band from Grimsby the Jam'd and
the finale from Little Bighorn, a rhythm and blues band from Scarboro.
I think its fair to say there was much
enjoyment and laughter and probably a few sore heads in the morning
