May Bank Holiday week,
Local rideouts to Sherburn, Scottish National at Kelso, BSRA at Skegness,
NUTS at Scarboro..phew !
.Loads on all nearby First up was a
local rideout with Cas to Sherburn, then onto the weekend, most popular
destination was the Scottish National at Kelso. Skegness was poorly
attended and the mod rally at Scarboro deserted.
A mixture of weather couldn't
spoil a great weekend at a lovely location along the tweed. It was
rather funny, but the jocks were quite welcoming and everything about
the Scottish National was really well planned. Anyway 8
lammies and one vespa in the form of Tesco Pete, PC Pete, Kelvin,
Cookie, Derek, Barry, Andy Mitch and Steve and Ian from York set off at
ten oclock to meet up with some of the insets including Wayne Lowery.
After half a dozen stops for fuel and food, we arrived at about 4 o
clock. The weather was good and we had a great ride thru Northumbria
towards the border. We stayed in the border hotel in Kelso town. A weird
hotel with 70's decor thru out. Bob Franks came later that night on his
own. The following morning, Bob and Angie, Dave and Andy Moughan
followed by Steve Kenny in his Van. A total of 15 from our
club.
Obviously the weather was not so nice coming back, but we all got back
safe, only a few minor breakdowns and Kelvin won Best Lambretta in the
Custom Show.
